Managing the Multigenerational Workplace
This session is beneficial for anyone leading or working in an environment where multiple generations are required to communicate and collaborate.
There are five generations in the workforce at this time; it is important that we understand how age, experience, and historical context impact the way we work, to help us communicate and collaborate more effectively. Our differences make us stronger, and can be leveraged to drive business.
SPEAKER BIO: Stefanie Adams is an HR leader, educator, elected official, wife, and mother; for those who know her best, she is "Cheerleader Stef", which personifies her personality and leadership style. She believes all things are possible with a positive attitude, gratitude, and collaboration. She has 20 years of experience leading and training in corporate, non-profit, and educational settings. She has worked as an organizational consultant for Johns Hopkins University School of Education (Baltimore, MD), providing training, coaching, and project management for school districts across the Southeast; she served as the Director of Customized Training for Cape Fear Community College (Wilmington, NC), identifying, and connecting appropriate training solutions to local corporations. Most recently, she led the corporate training function for CastleBranch (Wilmington, NC), a software development company of 350+ employees, assessing company-wide development needs to support organizational culture and increased productivity, including design and facilitation of leadership training for front line management and emerging leaders. She earned her M.Ed. in Multicultural Education in 2008.
In early 2020, Stefanie founded WNY People Development LLC, a leadership training and coaching company that provides highly engaging, interactive, and customizable experiences. She does not consider herself a "trainer"; she is a facilitator of information that guides leaders through the development process utilizing adult learning theory, practical application, data, reflection, honest conversations, and fun. She does not provide a "one size fits all" corporate training program, because she doesn’t believe that leadership is "one size fits all". Through her company, she provides virtual and in-person sessions for leaders at all levels, and organizations of all sizes. Since company launch, WNY People Development LLC has developed and facilitated leadership training, coaching, and team retreats for clients in varied industries including construction, healthcare, higher education, marketing, sales, hospitality, and non-profit management.
Stefanie’s days are fueled by coffee, chocolate, yoga, new challenges, and building relationships; her passions are developing others, serving the community, Philly sports, travel, managing chaos, and kitchen dancing.
