East Coast Winter Wonderland

The East Coast Winter Wonderland is a family fun day.  The whole event is indoors.  Here is what's included:

- Letters to Santa
- Concessions
- Live Performances
- Games
- Face Painting
- Festival of Trees

East Coast Cares is a 501c3 non-profit along with East Coast Volleyball Academy hosting the Jingle Ball and Winter Wonderland to provide opportunities and financial support to  those affected by Autism Spectrum Disorder and Type 1 Diabetes. We provide opportunities through athletics and physical activities for children and young adults with Autism Spectrum Disorder in the community. 

In New Hanover County there are hundreds of families living with a member affected by Type 1 or Autism Spectrum Disorder.  The Jingle Ball and Winter Wonderland are meant to provide work opportunities in a holiday environment, and raise awareness and funds for both organizations.  When a family first learns of a positive diagnosis it can be overwhelming and they need all the help they can get.  JDRF of NC and the Autism Society of North Carolina help those families learn what it takes to handle the everyday challenges.  They also provide a network of support and information so the families feel more comfortable moving forward.
