African American Business Council Meeting
All Chamber members are welcome to attend the meeting.
Join us for a special presentation from Jhaniqua F. Palmer of YWCA Lower Cape Fear on their New Choices Economic Empowerment programs, YWCA STRIVE and the Living the Dream Center for Entrepreneurship.
Jhaniqua serves as the Director of Outreach Programs at the YWCA Lower Cape Fear. She oversees the YWCA's advocacy and racial justice programming, the Grandparent Support Network, and New Choices Economic Empowerment programs. Jhaniqua serves on the Board of the Community Counseling Center and is also the President of the PTA at DC Virgo Preparatory Academy. Jhaniqua has been nominated for Wilma's Women to Watch Award and has been awarded the 40 under 40 award, and is a member of the 2021 WilmingtonBiz 100, which is an annual Business Journal program to recognize the top 100 Power Players, Influencers, Innovators, Connectors and Rising Stars impacting Southeastern North Carolina’s business landscape. She is a proud member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc. and Jack and Jill of America. She holds a Bachelor's Degree from Bennett College for Women and a Master's Degree from Duke University.
Lunch will be provided.
This event will take place in person at the Wilmington Chamber of Commerce located at 1 Estell Lee Place Wilmington, NC 28401. Our guests are welcome to park in our parking lot or at the Wilmington Convention Center parking deck. If you must park in the deck, please let a chamber staffer know so we can provide you with a complimentary parking voucher.
