April Davis brings a wealth of experience and a unique perspective to the Wilmington Chamber of Commerce as our VP of Membership Experiences. With a dynamic career spanning entertainment, education, and senior care, April excels in creating memorable and tailored experiences for our members. She began her professional journey as a singer and performer at Kings Dominion and Royal Caribbean, showcasing her talent and creativity. She then advanced to the role of Executive Administrative Assistant at Metropolis Productions, mastering organizational and administrative skills.
As Drama Director and Brand Ambassador for American City International Schools in Cairo, April enriched students' cultural and educational experiences. At Anheuser-Busch and SeaWorld Orlando, she managed large-scale events, demonstrating expertise in event management. In roles such as Outreach and Enrollment Director at PACE of the Southern Piedmont and National Director of Post Acute Transitions at SAVA Senior Care, April showed a commitment to community engagement and senior care.
A graduate of East Carolina University with a degree in Communication (PR concentration) and Musical Theatre, April possesses skills in stage management, event creation, project management, contract negotiations, budgeting, program development, team building, marketing, and process improvement. With experience in both small-scale and large-scale events, April aims to contribute a fresh perspective for our signature events, making the Member Experience unique and tailored to each member's needs, ultimately creating memorable moments for the Chamber and those we serve. Her focus on efficiency and process improvement will help design and execute additional signature events for sustainability and enhanced member experience.
Outside of work, April enjoys singing, party planning, traveling, live music, Broadway shows, and spending quality time with family and friends. Her extensive background and passion for community engagement make her a valuable asset to our team and the members we serve.
