Jacki Booth brings a rich background in community engagement and education to the Wilmington Chamber team. Most recently, she has held roles such as Community Engagement and Education Manager at CFCC Wilson Center and Director of K-12 Arts Education for New Hanover County Schools. Jacki's leadership extends to technical management of theatrical venues and instructing English and Theatre at CFCC and UNCW, as well as Visual Art at the North Carolina Governor's School West. Her nomination for a Wilmington Theatre Award for Lighting Design for "American Idiot" underscores her talent in uniting diverse student groups.
Jacki earned her Bachelor and Master of Arts in English from UNCW. She also pursued further studies in Computer Animated Design, Arts Administration, and a PhD in Education. Her expertise in curriculum development, instructional strategies, and assessment aligns with North Carolina’s educational standards, benefiting the Chamber's Career and Leadership Development Academy directly. Her experience in arts administration and leadership fosters innovative approaches to challenges.
With over 20 years in Wilmington's performing and visual arts sectors, Jacki has proven herself as a leader, designer, and mentor. Her deep roots in Wilmington, where she has lived since age 10, fuel her passion for community service. Jacki's philosophy, "If you always do what you always did, then you will always get what you always got," guides her innovative leadership approach at the Chamber. In her personal time, she enjoys outdoor activities and building Lego sets.
