The Wilmington Area Rebuilding Ministry (WARM NC) uniquely addresses the critical need for affordable housing preservation across a seven-county region. By repairing and restoring existing homes damaged by hurricanes, severe weather, or age-related deterioration, WARM supports homeowners who otherwise lack resources or physical ability to maintain their properties. Combining professional expertise with passionate community volunteerism, WARM NC empowers elderly residents and vulnerable community members to remain safely and comfortably in their homes.
WARM NC was established to address critical housing needs in our community. Our name reflects our commitment to bringing warmth, safety, and comfort back into the homes of those we serve. Founded in response to Hurricane Fran in 1996, WARM expanded their impact by recently relocating to a new, larger office and warehouse in Kings Grant to better serve the community.
“WARM NC has been a member of the Wilmington Chamber of Commerce since 2009, giving us the opportunity to expand our connection to local businesses, enhance community collaboration, and raise awareness about the importance of affordable housing preservation,” Andy Jones, CEO of WARM NC, said. “Partnering with the Chamber strengthens our collaborative impact in addressing housing challenges and creating lasting, positive change in our community.”
Please join us on Wednesday, April 9 at 4:00 p.m. for a ribbon cutting ceremony. The new WARM NC office and warehouse is located at 6737 Amsterdam Way, Wilmington, NC 28405.
