Wilmington #19 in Highest Rates of In-migration

Wilmington ranks #19 for U.S. cities with the highest rates of in-migration over the last five years, according to 24/7 Wall St. Using data from the U.S. Census Bureau’s American Community Survey, 24/7 Wall St. has created rankings of those U.S. cities with the highest number of people moving into and out of cities (based on percentage of existing population). Wilmington was found to have a net migration of +6.8% over the last five years. By comparison, several other nearby cities have lost population by significant percentages.  Jacksonville, Fayetteville, and New Bern, NC ranked #2, #10 and #12, respectively, among those cities with the highest rates of out-migration. Raleigh was the only other NC city on the list of highest in-migration, coming in at #25. See the full story:
