Volunteers Needed for Work On Wilmington

Volunteers are needed for Work on Wilmington, taking place on April 23, 2016. Work on Wilmington is an annual event that brings together local businesses and volunteers to work together to improve our community. Volunteers are assigned to various projects throughout the city, and spend the morning painting, planting, fixing, refurbishing, and cleaning local nonprofits and schools. The day culminates in a volunteer appreciation celebration in the afternoon.

Lots of manpower is needed to make Work on Wilmington a success. You can sign up individually, or as a representative of your group. This is a great opportunity to spend time together with your family, friends, church group, or other organizations. You will learn more about your local community, meet great people, and really make a difference for a local school or nonprofit organization.

The Work on Wilmington team is organizing a fantastic Volunteer Appreciation Party that takes place on the afternoon of April 23, 2016, after your morning of volunteering. This year’s Volunteer Appreciation Party will take place at the Battleship North Carolina! Join us for food, live music, fun, and raffles. All volunteers are eligible to win raffle prizes that include a new grill donated by the Home Depot, gift cards to the Bridgetender and Dockside restaurants, and a Panthers jersey autographed by #58 Thomas David donated by Fox Wilmington!
