Campaign 2013, the Wilmington Chamber's sustainable resources development campaign, kicked off on Thursday, April 4th with an event for volunteers.
A portion of Market Street in downtown Wilmington was nominated for the "Great Places: People's Choice" competition sponsored by the NC American Planning Association.
The Passion Works Capital Campaign held the official public kick-off event for their fundraising efforts this morning at the Wilmington Convention Center. Cape Fear Future (CFF) is the flagship initiative of the Wilmington Chamber that aims to raise $1 Million over the course of a five-year strategic action plan. The purpose of this effort is to increase the number of higher wage jobs (knowledge sector economy) in order to foster economic growth and ensure the prosperity of the region. The initiative will leverage existing assets to build a community where knowledge sector workers would choose to live, work and play.
The next Wilmington Chamber of Commerce Member Briefing will be held Tuesday, March 6 from 8:30-9:30 am at the Chamber. Member Briefing will provide an overview of the Chamber’s mission, programs and services. Meet the Chamber staff and network with other attendees. It’s the best way to learn how to use your Chamber membership, whether you’re a new member, new employee or in a new position!
