A Meet & Greet event will be held on Thursday, December 6th from 5:30-7:30 pm at tekMountain (1844 Sir Tyler Drive) to introduce the African-American Business Council (AABC) to the community, share the work being done to encourage growth in African-American businesses and to provide information on how others can support the effort. The AABC was formed in February 2018 by the Wilmington Chamber of Commerce through a partnership with several African-American business leaders to provide additional perspective and direction in carrying out the Chamber’s mission and fulfilling the goals of the Chamber strategic plan.
Since its inception, the AABC has developed five focus areas: board readiness, contracts, youth, networking and public policy advocacy. Tracey Jackson of U-Nexo serves as chair of the AABC.
Food and drinks will be available at the Meet & Greet, and registration is free.
