We’re switching up the format of our Annual Meeting this year with a different day and time to accommodate our guest speaker’s schedule as she tours the state visiting UNC system schools. Start your weekend with a fresh look at the future of higher education. Join us from 2:00-4:00 pm on Friday, April 22nd, to hear firsthand from new UNC President Margaret Spellings about her plans for the University of North Carolina system.
Spellings served as U.S. Secretary of Education under George W. Bush. During her tenure she led the implementation of the No Child Left Behind Act, a national bipartisan initiative to provide greater accountability for the education of 50 million U.S. public school students. In addition, she launched a national conversation on the future of higher education that resulted in an action plan to address challenges of access, affordability, quality, and accountability of our nation’s colleges and universities.
A reception featuring hors d’oeuvres and an open bar will follow the business portion of the Annual Meeting. Cost to attend is $45 per person.
